Racialized Trauma and the Pathway to Mending our Hearts and Bodies

A FREE 3-part interactive online workshop led by Pat Brown

  • January 18th

  • January 25th

  • February 1st

Join us for a free 3-part community workshop, Racialized Trauma, an interactive online series led by Pat Brown and a panel of guest speakers, including: Lou Walker, James King, Toi Beaman Leal, Lisa Thompson, Michael Chandler, Tracy Griffiths & Gary Strauss.

This offering is a community building workshop designed to meet the moment with conscious tools and practices for understanding racial injustice. Participants will have the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the Black experience through a somatic lens.

The book My Grandmother's Hands: Racialized Trauma and the Pathway to Mending Our Hearts and Bodies by Resmaa Menakem serves as the framework in guiding each of the discussions and body-centered practices which explore racialized trauma and the subsequent pathways to mending our hearts and bodies, both individually and collectively.

The groundwork will be laid for actionable next steps for reimagining and (re)creating a culture that serves to embrace a more just, loving and equitable future for all.

Please share word about this opportunity far and wide! Your friends and family, your neighbors, your local grocer-- this workshop series welcomes ALL who bring an open heart and open mind. This work is vital and needed in our world, and we hope you'll join us in furthering it with your participation.
